But security shows no evidence of him entering the tunnel, and for all of the lab\u2019s funding, its video surveillance is sorely lacking.<\/p>\n

Eager to keep the death under wraps until more is known, CERN brings in private investigator Sabine Leroux, who has her own ties to the lab\u2019s administration\u2014and more than a passing interest in particle physics. Meanwhile, Howard\u2019s colleague and budding love interest Eve, shattered by his death, determines to reconcile what she knew of Howard with his gruesome fate, wondering if she could have done something to stop it.<\/p>\n

As Sabine digs into petty academic rivalries and personal secrets, an escalating international physics arms race heightens tensions and fuels speculation of a mole at the lab\u2014throwing into question loyalties and revealing what sort of knowledge may be worth killing for.<\/p>\n

Sarah Stewart Taylor<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

In November, author Sarah Stewart Taylor will join us on Sunday, November 9, at 2 p.m.\u00a0 Sarah is the author of the Sweeney St. George series, set in New England, the Maggie D\u2019arcy mysteries, set in Ireland and on Long Island, and Agony Hill<\/em> and Hunter’s Heart Ridge<\/em>, set in rural Vermont in the 1960s.\u00a0 <\/span>Sarah has been nominated for an Agatha Award, the Dashiell Hammett Prize, and the MWA Sue Grafton Memorial Award and her mysteries have appeared on numerous Best of the Year lists. A former journalist and teacher, she writes and lives with her family on a farm in Vermont where they raise sheep and grow blueberries.\u00a0 The book club will be reading\u00a0Agony Hill,\u00a0<\/em>the first in her Vermont set series.<\/span><\/p>\n
